North Alabama War Dawgs

 

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama- December 5, 2020- Back at home, the North Alabama War Dawgs came back home at James Clemens High School with two road wins, looking for more. They faced off against the Jacksonville Showboats, and the War Dawgs (4-0) gave off a dazzling performance dominating the Showboats in a 137-84 win.

 

The home crowd came out and supported the War Dawgs as they yet again showcased their versatile talent under Head Coach Adrian Caesar. The Diva Dawgs also got the crowd involved by throwing t-shirts to the audience.

 

But it was the performances given by the big men that stole the show. 2020 ABA East All-Star Darrion Leslie had 32 points, 12 rebounds, and four steals. Josh Langford and Chris Burge also gave dazzling performances, both coming off the bench, earning 19 points. Jeffery Moss had a great defensive night with three steals while snagging himself 20 points. During halftime, Head Coach Adrian Caesar talked about finishing strong in the second half. The ending result of the game was War Dawgs having their way by maintaining their undefeated streak.

 

The War Dawgs look forward to December 27, 2020, at 5 p.m., where they will be hosting the Music City Jazz at James Clemens High School. This will also be AAU Basketball Night and last day of the Harris Home for Children Shoe Drive.

HUNTSVILLE’S PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL TEAM HAS THEIR FIRST AWAY GAMES

North Alabama War Dawgs

 

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama- November30, 2020-

The North Alabama War Dawgs remain undefeated after their first road games of the season. The War Dawgs put on a dazzling performance to bring home good wins.

 

In Saturday night’s game against the Atlanta Aliens, the War Dawgs found themselves continuing to set the tone for their season. While on the road, it was a private game where the War Dawgs had to dig deep and become their crowd. The final result was a win 135-111. The performance given by the team was immaculate. Deandre “Q” McIntyre snagged himself a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds. Jeffery Moss also had a double-double with 23 points and 14 rebounds and was 1 assist shy of triple-double.

 

In Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Storm, the War Dawgs were faced with a second-half come backstop. It was a tough away game with only a few in the crowd to support, but the War Dawgs managed to snatch a 142-136 win. The team put up a fight to secure their lead, with point guard Chase Studirvant giving his team energy to compete and get the win. Darrion Leslie had a double-double with 31 points and 13 rebounds, with delivering a phenomenal dunk during the third quarter. Jeffery Moss also earned a double-double with 34 points and 11 rebounds. Coach Adrian Caesar was proud of his team for composing themselves and finishing the game strong. At the end of the game, he had this to say, “Our guys executed everything that we talked about at halftime. We had a slot of tough calls, but that did not affect our game. And I’m proud of them.” The game was beginning to get close towards the end, but the War Dawgs fought through it and managed to remain undefeated, focusing on the next game home game on December 5, 2020.

 

The team went home with a 3-0 win record to remain undefeated to reach their goal of winning a championship.
